FIT FOREVER: Discovering your 21st Century Fountain of Youth
I love what I do. I get to spend every day helping to improve the
quality of people’s lives by teaching them how to gain energy and
stamina, experience restful sleep, and attain a more youthful
appearance.
Life IS good!
What about you?
• Do you want to lead a healthier, happier life?
• Do you want to look and feel younger?
• Do you need some motivation to find balance?
• Do you want to be the most energetic person you know?
Regardless of age, genetics, or body type we all have the power within
us to change. People often use the excuse that they are out of shape
due to their age, as if life is all downhill just because of a number.
I’m here to prove the contrary – no matter what our age we can all be
Fit Forever and here are four key components for you to recognize.
Fit Forever Answers:
1. What is HEALTH?
Health is feeling positive and energetic, the ability to put in a good
day’s work, and still have energy for our family when we get home.
Being healthy means taking charge of our schedules and making time for
our priorities. It means finding balance between proper nutrition,
exercise, and rest.
2. Do diets work?
Too many people have the mindset of finding a diet that can take off
10-15 pounds fast. We must see that diets do NOT work and leave us
with short term weight loss. The sobering statistic is this – 98% of
diets fail within 30 days. After failing, people become discouraged
and fall back into the same patterns of eating poorly. Our goal is to
embrace a healthy lifestyle which will lead to long and active lives.
3. What is the proper mindset concerning food?
We must see food as fuel that our bodies need on a regular basis. If
your car’s gas tank is on empty you won’t be going anywhere until you
fill it with the right fuel. What we eat contributes greatly to how we
feel.
4. How do I find healthy balance?
• Always eat breakfast, the most important meal of the day.
• Eat a balanced meal every 3-4 hours.
• Don’t starve yourself by going long periods of time without eating.
Many people actually gain weight in this mode.
• Meals should consist of protein, fiber and carbohydrates.
• Be active between meals.
• Drink one half of your body weight in ounces of water daily.
• Avoid fried foods and limit saturated fats.
• Keep your caloric intake close to 1850 calories a day
It’s time to commit ourselves to taking care of the body that God has
given us. We must remember that we only have one body and it’s up to
us to maintain it for a lifetime. Bottom line – only one person is
accountable for making the necessary changes, and that someone is you.
You can do anything you set your mind to do. Good luck on your FIT
FOREVER journey!
